You know you've found a "home" when you update your Navigator home button
After living out of our suitcases for over a year, We've finally found our long-term place to stay in California. It was a miracle leasing our place, since I don't have a job yet. The owner didn't even do a credit check! Can you believe that? and the owner is also a real-estate broker!
We brought in our stuff that we've kept in the storage for a year and a half, and oh did we have a lot of stuff! So much baggage! We realized that all this stuff comes from scrimping/saving or in Korean "아까워하다" and it anchors you to your possessions. We've lived such a minimalist life-style for the past year, ready to go anywhere in a day's notice that we've grown accustomed to doing without things we don't need. The more we have, the harder It becomes to do as Jesus says in Luke 18:22 "Sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me"
We ended up making 7 boxes of stuff we could sell or give away. We're planning to have a free garage sale (we've been inspired by so many people who did the same)
Below are some more pics of us moving into our new place.
- Adjusting to new environments is nothing new to Jiyeon and Jiseong so first thing they did when we arrived at our new place was take out their books and started reading, as if they always lived here.
