We created a new recipe called "joomok-bab cones"
We only have less then two weeks before our mission trip in China is over.We ask for prayers about our next steps. To go joyfully, and in obedience where God's will is.
We can come back to California, or go to Kona, and we are asking for God's guidance. Pls pray for us.
and that our provisions are met. (places to stay, financial needs)
It is illegal to preach the gospel to children under the age of 18. Thus the orphanages in China cannot pray, teach the bible, or talk about religion. The only way they can make God known is to love the children unconditionally. and with God's love and grace, healing and restoration come to the children. In the pictures below, the boy arm wrestling is 13 years old, and has no identity. All he knows is that his mother is North Korean, and his father is Chinese. At the tender age of 10, he has been knifed and knifed another boy. He was a case that was humanly impossible to heal, but with God's love and only God's love, he is healing. and knows how to strut his muscles too!
We've been visiting more churches, and we are seeing amazing ways God is working in China. The "Back to Jerusalem" movement is really happening, and at the forefront, Harbin is playing a central, city role. The Gospel is no longer pertained to the outer villages and suburbs, but reaching the business and government world, and the professional in the market place will lead the movement.
Our kids are healthy, although skinnier than when they left the US. It's a miracle our kids have not been sick once, when everyone we are traveling with got sick at least once.
God's grace and protection is upon us, and i thank you for your prayers.
We are in Dalian now, and we are enjoying some of the luxuries of capitalism. Mainly McDonalds! Our first visit there after almost two months here in China.
The beaches here aren't comparable to the exotic and beautiful beaches on Kona Island, but after two months traveling all over north east China, any beach was a welcoming treat to our kids.
We've also been able to cook some Korean food, and kimchi, which is a treat. We even created a new dish called "joomok-bab cones" (주먹밥콘) looks like an ice cream cone, and you can eat it like an ice cream cone, but it's rice, kimchi and seasoning all packed into two cups. great recipe for those on the move.
